Lack of working hours targeted at this specific topic? Seems quite the
compelling reason to me :-p
In more serious terms, I'm wondering what Spring Security has to offer in
terms of client
side authentication.
However, adding a direct dependency to Spring in GeoTools would look
"bad", maybe some interface in the middle to isolate the dependency, and a
dedicated
auth module depending on spring would be better (no clue if this is
feasible and how hard
it would be, just thinking out loud here eh?) :-)
