Core-geonetwork was able to migrate to *java.xml.bind.annotation* classes:

   - javax.xml.bind.annotation.XmlElement
   - javax.xml.bind.annotation.XmlElement
   XmlAccessorType(XmlAccessType.PUBLIC_MEMBER)


I think that is sensible advice we can add to our update instructions.
