Our customers at Geocaching.com have always wanted an updated list of cache find logs in their area. This would be considered news and would be an appropriate use for an RSS feed. I can see other uses on the Waymarking.com web site for notifying users of new waymarks being listed in their area.

So yes, generally RSS is a nice way of presenting this info to users. Our concern about implementation is making sure that it wouldn’t overtax our servers since each RSS feed would be customized by a user’s location.

Does this make sense?  I thought geoRSS was for news feeds?  Is this news?
