You can’t post-process NMEA. You need RINEX, which you can sorta get out of an eTrex using the Async program:

Or are you looking for one to do real-time DGPS with a RTCM beacon?

 

Or better yet, what’s your budget and what kind of accuracy are you willing to pay for?

The Yellow Garmin eTrex is your best bet, I think. It’s the cheapest unit that still has a cable connector. You’ll have to purchase the cable separately.

I went to a great GPS workshop in NYC this week and now know just enough to be dangerous…

 

Does anybody know what is the lowest price GPS device with NMEA (to allow for post DGPS)?
