Looks like that should be quite suitable,

Subject: [Geowanking] Looking for basic country context map service

Greetings, an apologies in advance if this seems like
list abuse but I am squeezed for time and am getting
noweher fast.

I need to find a map service to which I can pass, say,
an ISO 3166-2 code and get back a reasonable little
sketch map showing border, location of capital, maybe
a few major roads. This will be appearing in a UN site
and so should not be heavily commerially tagged or
restricted.

I _know_ there's got be such a beast out there but a
couple of hours with mapdex, google, geographynetwork
et al have yielded nought...

Thanx in advance for any pointers provided.
