I don't see what I need IE for (in this context). I see it fine in Firefox
1.5.0.7, animated with Adobe Flash Player 9.0.28.0 or still, and the
extracted .pdf views OK in Reader 7.0.8.

Fellow GeoWankites,
I thought this might be of interest to the commmunity...
While searching for open source close-range photogrammetry
(a topic for another day), I found:
http://www.photogrammetry.eu/, with a 3d PDF:
http://www.photogrammetry.eu/PDF/DOTKAPHOTOGRAMMETRY.zip
giving an excellent example of what can be done with the
(relatively) new 3D extensions to Adobe's popular PDF
format. To view the 3D PDF document with all its features
you'll need:
- MS Internet Explorer (I know, I know...)
- the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader
There's been some uptake of the 3D capabilities of PDF in
the CAD area, but I hadn't seen any info about it on the
various Geo* forums.
