Couldn't you map everyone's associations by location using the school,
hometown, networks, groups links? Maybe even in three dimensions by
locations or degrees of separation? Plus, the status capability could be
like a Twitter-like feature to map out activities (i.e. FantomPlanet is at
the beach).

Subject: [Geowanking] Facebook + Geowanking = ?

http://mashable.com/2007/05/24/facebook-f8-live/

Facebook released their new development platform today, immediately granting
all developers access to their 24 million (!) users.

It seems like many people on this list are interested in "just doing it!" so
on that note I'd like to ask everyone if they have ideas for simple
geo-related applications we could make together.

There are PHP5 and Java APIs currently, and the "secret" URL for checking
out all of the documentation is http://www.f8.facebook.com/.

Thanks,

Beau.
