Hi,

I have uploaded a PDF file at www.geotude.com that explain the Geotude
formula in details. Please find it at
http://www.geotude.com/Geotude%20Formula.pdf
. A simple Javascript implementation can be found at
http://www.geotude.com/geotude.js.

We will be putting more information on Geotude at www.geotude.com (together
with a whole site revamp) in about 2++ weeks time.

Thanks.

Hi Brian,

Sorry about the IE message, we will fix that. I could email the
powerpoint to you if you like.

Ziptude is one proposed application for the Geotude concept.
A firefox (and Safari) friendly site is at www.geotude.com

A alpha converter is at http://www.geotude.com/converter.html

A Google mashup is at http://www.geotude.com/mashup.html

A rough algorithm to convert Lat and Long to Geotude is {(lng+180) +
[500*ABS(lat-90)] +10000}. This is a sample using integer degrees.
The algorithm with decimals of degrees is a bit more technical. We
will summarize that for public consumption.

regards

richard
