At this point this project is effectively feature complete and usable. In general it is a client browser map 3d rendering solution with tiled zooming, markers, popups, lines, loads input files from xml, can handle vastly higher point loads than google maps. See: http://civicmaps.org/spinnyglobe/flash/bin/spinnyglobe.html It was completed mostly because we've had an ongoing need to show more point features and more data in a richer way than google maps affords us. Meedan has graciously offered to make the work public domain. To use the application use the mouse to pan and use the buttons on the top left where the cross in the top left is navigation, with zoom controls underneath, and reset (in red) underneath that.
