If anyone's interested I've taken this and turned it into an Atom feed with GeoRSS embedded. I've done a quick test on Google Maps but let me know if you have problems using it elsewhere. URL for it is:
http://mapme.at/api/where.atom?username=thebox&since=2008-09-01&mode=since You can also view this on a web page here: http://mapme.at/where/thebox That page is setup to show you a day-by-day breakdown, which kinda reinforces Ian's comment, this isn't something you want to sit and watch but an Atom feed might be interesting to keep tabs on. John P.S. mapme.at is a location tracking site I've been playing with for just over a year, hadn't mentioned it here yet as it needs plenty of work but feel free to have a play around with it and let me know what you think On 10 Sep 2008, at 03:47, Andrew Turner wrote: > just gonna give a shoutout that the BBC is using ModestMaps - go > open-source mapping libraries! > > The tracking should also include chemical costs (carbon, oil, > nitrogen, etc) for this container. > > On Tue, Sep 9, 2008 at 9:52 PM, Ian White <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > wrote: >> This is waayyyyyy better than watching water boil! >> >> >> >> --- >> Ian White :: Urban Mapping Inc >> 690 Fifth Street Suite 200 :: San Francisco CA 94107 >> T.415.946.8170 x800 :: F866.385.8266 :: urbanmapping.com/blog >> >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >> ] On Behalf Of SteveC >> Sent: Tuesday, September 09, 2008 2:01 PM >> To: [email protected] >> Subject: [Geowanking] box tracking for the UN >> >> >> http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/business/2008/the_box/default.stm >> >> Best >> >> Steve >> >> _______________________________________________ >> Geowanking mailing list >> [email protected] >> http://lists.burri.to/mailman/listinfo/geowanking >> >> No virus found in this incoming message. >> Checked by AVG - http://www.avg.com >> Version: 8.0.169 / Virus Database: 270.6.19/1662 - Release Date: >> 9/9/2008 10:47 AM >> _______________________________________________ >> Geowanking mailing list >> [email protected] >> http://lists.burri.to/mailman/listinfo/geowanking >> > > > > -- > Andrew Turner > mobile: 248.982.3609 > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://highearthorbit.com > > http://mapufacture.com Helping build the Geospatial Web > Introduction to Neogeography - http://oreilly.com/catalog/neogeography > _______________________________________________ > Geowanking mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.burri.to/mailman/listinfo/geowanking _______________________________________________ Geowanking mailing list [email protected] http://lists.burri.to/mailman/listinfo/geowanking
