Hello,

W3C is organizing a workshop on security models for device APIs that
are exposed to Web technologies:

   http://www.w3.org/2008/security-ws/
   10/11 December 2008
   London, UK

The motivation behind this workshop is the increasing use of Web
technologies outside the traditional browser sandbox. Be anticipate
that the workshop will be touching on a number of relatively deep
architectural issues around identification of resources and actors on
the Web.

To give just one example, the widget URI discussion will have
implications within the workshop's scope.

Participants in the workshop must be associated with position papers.
The position paper deadline is 30 October.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Dominique
Hazaël-Massieux (who is the team contact for this workshop), or
myself. Both Dom and I will also be around at TPAC.

Regards,
--
