The technological curve that is putting devices capable of easily
displaying this data into the hands of consumers is also putting
devices capable of gathering the data into their hands. Proprietary
data vendors are in the same position as proprietary software vendors,
watching the value of their core IP constantly get eroded away beneath
them, constantly on the move in search of firmer ground.
