Best, Erika Weinthal Associate Professor of Environmental Policy Nicholas School of the Environment Duke University Tenure-track Position in Environmental Politics and Policy Nicholas School of the Environment, Duke University Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment has an opening for a tenure-track position at either the assistant or associate level in environmental politics and policy. The Nicholas School, with an interdisciplinary faculty of over 60, directs Duke’s undergraduate environmental programs and offers professional degrees (Master of Environmental Management and Master of Forestry) and policy-related Ph.D.s through the University Program in Environmental Policy, Nicholas School Division of Environmental Science and Policy, and Division of Marine Science and Conservation. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in political science, public policy, political economy, geography, or a related discipline. Relevant research areas include global governance and institutions, energy, land use, oceans, or common-pool resources. Ability to teach qualitative and/or quantitative methods is preferred. The successful applicant is expected to develop a nationally recognized, externally funded research program and to teach 2.5 courses per year. There are numerous opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration within the Nicholas School and with other academic units and university initiatives across the campus and with other area institutions.
