Dear colleagues,

I know we’ve had a thread on this a few years back, but I thought it was
time for an update.

Can anyone recommend any films or other suitable material for use in
classes or for student home-viewing? As many of us do, I occasionally
recommend films, documentaries or online lectures to students in my
(international) environmental policy and/or environmental law courses (both
undergrad and graduate level).

I am now hoping to build a database of relevant movies/documentaries/online
lectures/TEDtalks, etc, to recommend to students as optional background
material or occasionally even as mandatory viewing.

All topics/issue areas are welcome – the idea is to build an extensive
library on a wealth of topics relevant to environmental governance, policy
and law. Feel free to recommend full-length features or just short clips.

One useful online database is
http://www.grinningplanet.com/6001/environmental-movies.htm, but I’m hoping
for personal recommendations based on your own class experiences.

Please respond on or off-list, as you wish. I will compile responses and
post the results to the list in due course.

Thanks all!

Thijs Etty
