Dear GEP colleagues, Several years in the making, I am pleased to announce the official launch of The Social Rules Project, an initiative designed to make the concept of institutions more intuitive for students and the general public. This was created with help from over 100 students at six universities in southern California, and I would be delighted if you find it to be of value in your teaching.
At rulechangers.org, you will find a 10-minute animated film, an educational videogame on managing the commons (to be available Feb 1), "institutional landscapes," a Facebook discussion group, a teaching guide, and a sample chapter from my new book, "Who Rules the Earth? How Social Rules Shape Our Planet and Our Lives," published by Oxford University Press. The latter has a shipping date of mid-February. With best wishes for the new year! Paul -- Paul F.
