Dear colleagues

A book I co-authored - of possible interest to those with a focus on
environmental and social justice - has just been published by
Routledge: *Public
Relations and Sustainable Citizenship: Representing the Unrepresented. *
https://www.routledge.com/Public-Relations-and-Sustainable-Citizenship-Representing-the-Unrepresented/Munshi-Kurian/p/book/9780367338107

*Book Description*
This book examines how public relations might re-imagine itself as an
instrument of "sustainable citizenship" by exploring alternative models of
representing and building relationships with marginalised publics that
disrupt the standard discourses of public relations. Anchored by
postcolonial theory and subaltern historiography, the book focuses on how
public relations can be deployed as sustainable citizenship across three
core elements of the earth – air, water, and land – taking an
inter-disciplinary approach that blends social and political theories
with communication theories.

The following discount code applies: FLR40.

*Table of Contents*
1. Theorizing Public Relations and Sustainable Citizenship 2. Air:
Breathing Life into Action on Climate Change 3. Water: Struggles over
Defining a Life Resource 4. Land: Changing the Narratives of Occupation
and Imposed Identities 5. Earth: Public Relations for the Planet and its
People.

Best wishes
Priya
