Hello, GEP-Ed Colleagues:

A friendly reminder that October 26 is the registration deadline to stay on
the program for ISA 2023. To quote the email from the ISA Program Chairs,
"anyone who has not accepted their role(s) on the program AND registered
for the conference will be dropped from the program after October 26." The
full text of the email from the program team is included below my email
signature.

On a related note, after the pre-registration deadline of Oct. 26, I will
be revisiting the ESS program to fill vacancies created by withdrawals.
(i.e. filling out panels with fewer than five papers, and/or adding new
chairs or discussants; but NOT adding full panels to the program.).

Please feel free to reach out to me on any of this, especially if you'd
like to take on a discussant role, in which case please mention your areas
of expertise, including methodological expertise. Thank you for all that
you do to make ESS the best section at the ISA 😊.

My best wishes,

Prakash

Dear Section Program Chairs,

We hope you are doing well! We write today with a few reminders and updates.

First, please remind your section members that the deadline for
pre-registration is less than a week away, and that anyone who has not
accepted their role(s) on the program AND registered for the conference
will be dropped from the program after October 26.

Second, please make a note for yourselves that after the pre-registration
period closes on Oct. 26, we will then be revisiting the program to fill
vacancies created by withdrawals. (In general, this will mean filling out
panels with fewer than five papers, and/or adding new chairs or
discussants, rather than adding full panels to your program.) ISA HQ will
soon send out tutorials for how to identify and fill vacancies in the
program. In the meantime, please set aside some time in November to make
these adjustments.

As always, we are happy to answer any questions or address any concerns as
they arise. We will be in touch with you again when the next draft program
becomes available for revision. We thank you as ever for your work on the
2023 program, and we be in touch soon!

Best wishes,

Erica, Swati, Katherine, and Fisseha
