George Mason University's Department of Environmental Science and Policy (ESP) 
has an open hire for its next chair! Both natural and social scientists are 
encouraged to apply for the full-time, tenure-track position at the Associate 
or Full Professor level beginning in August 2024.



Candidates should demonstrate substantial experience in administering academic 
programs and have a strong record of teaching, grantsmanship, and publications. 
The successful applicant will be expected to lead faculty in the formulation 
and implementation of the department’s vision and goals. ESP is well known for 
its truly interdisciplinary faculty focused on environmental and social
