The presentation is given by senior specialist and social geologist Toni Eerola 
from the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK). He will present the evolution of 
the mining-sceptical movement and mining disputes in Finland. It also gives an 
overlook on his recent research on social license to operate of European 
lithium projects, including the French Beauvoir mine. Reflections on paradoxes 
found in the green energy transition are also given.
