Hi all!
I am writing to encourage all ISA-ESS members to submit nominations and self-nominations for our section awards, as well as pull together abstracts and panels for ISA 2026. The deadline for these is *June 1, *unless otherwise noted*. *Details for all awards are available on the ESS website <http://environmental-studies.org/?page_id=3>. We have four awards: *Graduate Student Paper Award* Are you a graduate student? Did you present a fantastic paper at ISA 2025? Or did you see a graduate student present a terrific paper at ISA 2025? Please nominate yourself or others! *Harold and Margaret Sprout Award **(Deadline August 1)* The award is given annually to the best (new) book in the field – one that makes a contribution to theory and interdisciplinarity, shows rigor and coherence in research and writing, and offers accessibility and practical relevance. Ask your publisher to submit your book for consideration, or recommend a publisher submit a fabulous book you recently read. *Distinguished Scholar Award* The Distinguished Scholar Award of the Environmental Studies Section of the International Studies Association recognizes outstanding scholars whose long history of excellent research and teaching has had a substantial impact on fields associated with international relations and environmental issues. Please consider nominating a scholar whose work or practice has been deeply impactful in our field. *Engaged Scholar Award* This award is given to a person at any stage of their career who has successfully spanned (or is successfully spanning) academia and social/political engagement or activism on issues related in some way to the environment. Self-nominations are encouraged! *Section Membership and Panel Allocations* Lastly, our section membership impacts our panel allocations, so please make sure to check the Environmental Studies section membership box when you renew your ISA membership! Please reach out with any questions. With warm regards, Kim ISA Environmental Studies Section Vice-Chair and Program Chair *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Kimberly R.
