Dear all, On behalf of the Radboud Centre for Sustainability Challenges, I would like to bring to your attention a compelling course during the Radboud Summer School: There is No Planet B: Empowering the Next Generation on a Planet in Crisis. This course may be particularly relevant for your own teaching or for early career scholars you work with. Perhaps you’d consider sharing it within your network?
About the course: This course provides an interdisciplinary and action-oriented approach to the climate crisis. Participants will explore the deep-rooted connections between environmental breakdown and global inequality, and examine how different sectors—from science and policy to grassroots activism—can contribute to meaningful change. It is designed to help young professionals, students, and early-career researchers better understand the systemic nature of our planetary challenges and develop the critical skills needed to contribute to sustainability transitions. Through interactive sessions, guest lectures, and real-world case studies, the course encourages participants to reflect on their own role in shaping a just and sustainable future. Key themes include climate justice, intergenerational responsibility, decolonial perspectives, and sustainability leadership. The learning environment fosters cross-cultural dialogue and empowers participants to move from awareness to action. Thank you in advance for considering this, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
