Dear gep-ed community, I have digital copies of 5 books, and am interested in getting reviewers for all of them ASAP for publication in Global Environmental Politics. I will give a brief description of the topics, and if anyone is interested and available to do a single book review on any of them, please let me know ASAP. All of these books are published in major academic presses.
Please note: for timing, publication, and planning purposes, I would urge people to volunteer only if they feel confident that they can commit to a relatively quick turnaround for the review – no more than a month after receiving the book for the first draft. The topics are: * Conservationist ideas and narratives in China from the early 20th century to today. Includes a discussion of ethnic tension, norm contestation, and industrialization. * The transformation of the Alpine landscape for hydropower and water management in Europe * The role of architecture in the history of global development and decolonization, examining how modern architects and planners sought to make decolonization plausible * Conservation, land sparing, and the failure of green capitalism in the Global South * The politics of decarbonization in Sweden to explore how states collaborate with societal actors to achieve it If any of these topics interest you, please contact me, and I will set up the book review process.
