Dear colleagues,

IISD is organizing an online event to help participants leverage available
data to ground their SDG stories in national and international sustainable
development trends. The one-hour session will:

   - explore ways the SDGs affect the daily lives of people around the world
   - discuss the Voluntary National Review (VNR) process and its potential
   to increase transparency and accountability of national policymakers
   - map the SDGs data ecosystem and give reporters resources to inform
   their daily stories
   - offer insights for engaging with leaders and organizations within the
   UN system

We have an amazing panel:

   - *Catherine Cheney*, Senior Editor for Special Coverage, Devex
   <https://www.devex.com/> / Manager, Strategic Relationships, Solutions
   Journalism Network <https://www.solutionsjournalism.org/>
   - *Martina Donlon*, Climate Communications Lead, UN Department of Global
   Communications <https://www.un.org/en/department-global-communications>
   - *Pamela Falk*, Correspondent, US News & World Report
   <https://www.usnews.com/>
   - *Wangu Mwangi*, Team Leader and Writer, Earth Negotiations Bulletin
   <https://enb.iisd.org/>
   - *Heather Page*, Statistician, UN Department of Economic and Social
   Affairs <https://www.un.org/en/desa>

The event is focused on journalists, but will provide academics new
insights into available data and information on how countries are aiming to
implement the SDGs.
