Dear all,

We are pleased to announce the upcoming *Symposium and Author Workshop on
Earth System Law*, hosted by* Wageningen University and Research, Utrecht
University, and Colorado College *this November 12-13.

This two-day event will bring together scholars and practitioners to
critically assess the development of earth system law, identify its
real-world applications, and help shape a future research and policy
agenda.

   - The *symposium on 12 November, hosted at Wageningen University and
Research*, will examine the state of earth system law as a response to
the structural shortcomings of traditional environmental law. It will
explore its conceptual evolution, assess its emerging forms and practices,
and consider how it might be applied to real-world sustainability
challenges. The event will be held in a hybrid format, with both in-person
   and online participation available.

   - The *author workshop on 13 November, hosted at Utrecht University’s
Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development*, will focus on
co-developing a perspective paper synthesizing insights from the symposium.
This will be an in-person event only, and all participants will be invited
as co-authors on the paper intended for publication in a high-impact
   journal.
