Many, many of you wrote to ask how we got the Gore movie.  So, here is what I know (and it likely applies to the US, but hopefully will get those of you not in the US started with contacts):

 

We worked with the office on campus that regularly books campus movies (though I don’t think this is required…).  These folks have regular accounts with the major film distributors.  In the case of AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, that distributor is Swank Motion Pictures: http://www.swank.com/

 

Swank has the movie on pre-release VHS and 35mm.  Swank will have a public performance fee.  At UNH, we paid about $1,000 for the movie, but it looks like revenues at 1 and 2 dollars a ticket will exceed that cost.

 

There is also a site for churches/temples to get the movie for free, but I don’t know if schools can do this:

Lastly, I believe the DVD comes out (in the US) in late November.
