Hi all,
My class is now into its second international negotiations exercise,
and the students are looking increasingly skeptical every time I say:
"Well, this is how it happens in the real world..."
Are there any good short documentary films that look at the nuts &
bolts of any particular international environmental negotiation
process? My guess is "absolutely not," since there's perhaps nothing
more stifling than a roaming movie camera. But maybe there's
something that at least builds off of video from formal presentations
at, say, the UN, a subsidiary body, a fisheries commission, etc?
One thing I did come across was a movie on the IWC entitled "A
Greener Shade of Whale." Can't vouch for it as I've only skimmed it,
but it certainly looks interesting (see
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5975316283253912988&hl=en).
Many thanks for any help you can give me,
-Charlie
