Dear Colleagues,

A request for help from down-under.

I carry out work with companies making the transition to sustainable
development, often needing to start right at the beginning with 'green
housekeeping': energy conservation, waste minimisation and recycling,
transport patterns, water usage and so on.

I generally work with middle to senior managers who then take on the
education and training of staff - sometimes aided by me, but we mostly work
on the 'training the trainers' principle.

I have just started work with a new cohort of companies, and one manager
asked me last week if there were any cartoons/videos she could use with
staff that, for example, demonstrated how many trees were represented by
their conservation targets. Does anyone have suggestions?

I've passed on to her the website Michael Maniates recommended a while ago
with the Annie Leonard 'Story of Stuff' video, which is a good start and
works well with my students, too. Any other suggestions gratefully received.

And If I can also take the opportunity for an ad - do any of you subscribe
to the International Journal of Innovation and Sustainable Development
(www.inderscience.com) which I edit? I know that at least a couple of you
are already on the editorial board. As well as general issues, we also have
recent and forthcoming issues on climate change and transport/tourism, moral
responsibility and SD, sustainable consumption, education for sustainability
and sustainability assessment. I am currently working on the next two
general issues and always happy to receive ideas for papers, guest-edited
special issues and/or offers to review papers.

Thank you in advance for any help. I find membership of the listserve
helpful and stimulating.

Kind regards,

Delyse Springett.
