Please find below the agenda for a high-level conference here a month
from now focusing on emerging markets for ecosystem services. We are
following the model of our conference last Spring on climate change and
the Clean Air Act, co-sponsored that event with the Air Office of EPA.
EPA's direct involvement ensured participation from key government
officials on panels and in the audience, as well as focusing discussion
on policy-relevant questions. The Duke Environmental Law and Policy
Forum is co-sponsoring this conference with USDA’s Office of Ecosystem
Services and Markets, the first new office in USDA in three decades.
This Office is already playing a central role in the discussions over
offsets in greenhouse gas trading schemes. An impressive range of
experts from academia, industry, NGOs, and government will be attending.
Folks on the listserve are more than welcome to come, as well. The
conference will also be webcast (I’ll send out the URL as the date
approaches).

Conference details and registration links are on the web at:

best regards, -js
