Our new provost is a big fan of global studies, and has authorized two hires in
the area, with potential for senior appointments. Global Enviro Politics/IPE of
environment is a strong area of interest, and there will be room for
interdisciplinary collaborations - we have just won a state grant to develop
Clean Energy Workforce Training programs, which will mean expanding our enviro
courses at undergrad and grad levels. So at least one of the hires is likely to
be in the environmental area. I'm working with others on campus to develop an
interdisciplinary masters in climate/clean energy, so I'm eager for some good
GEP applicants.
If a ONE-lister/bus school person has a strong policy/politics interest and
disciplinary background, this could also work. The positions will probably be
located in the Public Policy school, but with the right candidate, could be in
the College of Management.

don't wait till the deadline, typically we start to review applicants before
that...!
