Dear friends, I hope this is not an inappropriate use of the list, but I wanted to alert you to a few new publications from my Center that you might find useful in your teaching, but also as outlets of your own work ( http://www.bu.edu/pardee/publications/ ).
The Boston Univeristy Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future ( http://bu.edu/pardee/ ), which I direct, has recently launched a new series of policy briefs in collaboration with the UN¹s Sustainable Development Knowledge Partnership (SDKP) - called ³Sustainable Development Insights² ( http://www.bu.edu/pardee/2009/11/09/sustainable-development-insights/ ). The most recent issue has a paper on the design of the Rio+20 Summit a resolution of holding which was just passed at the UN and also has a first cut at a ³Sustainable Development Timeline, an idea discussed on this list recently: Rio+20: Another World Summit? http://www.bu.edu/pardee/publications/sdi-002-rio-plus-2/ ³Pushing Reset¹ on Sustainable Development² http://www.bu.edu/pardee/publications/sdi-001-reset-sustainable-development/ More importantly, I write to request if any of you or your advanced graduate students may be interested in contributing to this series. Also, just released, is a Pardee Center Task Force Report on The Future of North American Trade Policy (NAFTA). I hope those of you teaching NAFTA issues will find this a useful teaching resource that comes at the exact time when a re-working of NAFTA is in the works (Task Force was led by Kevin Gallagher, who many of you are familiar with, and is fully downloadable online). http://www.bu.edu/pardee/task-force-report-nafta/ Regards Adil Najam ------------------------- ADIL NAJAM The Frederick S.
