I have a question about a male gerbil in one of my pairs. This pair is going to have pups soon in the next couple of days (she's really big) But he's always trying to mount her all the time. My other males don't do this to their mates..why is he so...excited...all the time? He does this everyday to her...but she just squeaks and runs away and finally he'll get tired of chasing her around and quit. I'm just wondering if any of you have males like this and any ideas why he won't leave her alone. When I first introduced them they had no interest in each other..and ever since they mated for the first time he goes after her everyday. So anyway..just wondering :) -Angie
