Taliah had her 3rd litter today! :O) 5 cutie pies :O)
I have a few ?s though:
1) one of the pups has its umbilical cord still attached as well as the
placenta, which has a ton of shavings stuck to it and really seems to weigh
the pup down--T has made no attempt to chewit off as of yet, sooo what do I
do? do I leave it on and hope it allfalls off, or should I at least try to
cut the shaving covered placenta off?
2) I put a divider in yesterday evening b/c I didn't think she would be
having pups so soon (she hadn't made a nest or anything and I didn't see
very much movement of the puppers inside), I have the daddy, boys from st
litter and boys from 2nd litter allon one side---they will be either getting
theyre own tank or leaving (cept for Zorion and one of his boys ;) ---- mommy
and the girls onthe other side (right now i have the girls out b/c they were
too excited about the pups and 2 of them i found across the tank freezing
cold--so now T's up there sleeping w/ her new babies all cozy, warm ,and fed;)
anyway: the divider is only temporary so when she comes into heat again she
wont mate, but I cant make the wire mesh divider until the weekend b/c my dad
is busy all week--will it be ok to leave these guys like this for a while?
3) I am still stumped about the color of Meg's lil girls, they still have the
coloring they did when they were pups (the greyish color mixed in w/
black--see my website in my signature for pictures), they have dark nails and
theyre heads and tails seem to be dark (almost black--well their tails are
definate black and the heads are black w/ just a little bit of the grey,
compared to whats on theyre body)
their bellies definately have the most grey you can see it w/o looking for
the color when they stand up on their hind legs---any ideas anyone? genetics
unknown since both parents were petstore gerbies but Meg is nutmeg and Mo is
black pied--pretty sure he's the daddy ;O) (ill have recent pics up as soon
as i can)
4) Last but definately not least, I have a bajillion puppies needing homes!
well may not seem like a lot to some of you but for me it's a pupulation
explosion ;)
I have from the first litter from Z&T ( I have theyre genetics written down
upstairs,if you want them lemme know :O)
born 09-28-99
2 females: burmese, siamese---Isis and Cleopetra
3 males: 2 siamese, 1 burmese=---Micah, Malachi, Isaiah ( I might keep Micah )
born 11-22-99
(names avail. shortly)
1 siamese female
1 burmese female
1 CpSn? female (reserved)
2 burmese males (1 reserved)
not sure if i can ship yet (ack!) if not I live in NJ, may be able to work w/
meeting halfway or something like that
and btw--I will have to stop breeding for now ( i' m making a divider so if i
am able to breed again sometime soon I won't have to worry so much about
introduction :O) hopefully this summer when ill have more time to actively
look for homes ill be able to start again
whew! sorry that was so long, but I have been so busy w/ midterms coming up
next week, i havent gotten a chance to go online much and send emails :OP
Any help greatly appreciated!!!! :O) Thanks!!!
