Hamsters are notoriously difficult to catch. One out they tend to travel
far. You should probably put down food and water in various parts of the
home to see if you can track down where the hamster is hanging out.
It may be worth getting some live traps of some kind. Be aware that a
hamster may disappear for weeks before you see any sign of it. It may
not surface at all.
