I only have a male and female pair, so I haven't seen it.  But my *female
dog* "expresses dominance" over my four year old, much to his giggling
delight!  It has gotten much less since I started having HIM feed the dog
every day, therefore assuming the "alpha dog" position in their dog/child
relationship.
