Apparently the post-er was a seventh grade student. I have little doubt the
student just happened to find poor references to use for the assignment. As
the person who responded to Michael Jacob's concern stated, the copyrights
were acknowledged (I didn't go to the site myself so I don't know that that
is the truth, but I doubt he would lie on something that would be so easy to
investigate). If they weren't, that would be plagiarism in my university's
policy and I'm sure also the school that this student attends as well. I
think the student should have notified the copyright (or "copywrite" as the
educator who responded to Herr Jacob's email incorrectly spells it ;-) )
holder out of courtesy, but would a seventh grade student know that?
