Subject: Frick has a cagemate!
Frick (now estranged from (the mislabeled on my
website) Frack, our former breeding pair) has a new friend. Or at least, I
hope she ends up seeing it as a new friend. I went to the Andersons
(that oft mentioned general store) for sundries, and they had a new batch of
gerbils in. Also a Degu, which I thought was pretty neat. One of
them was a little black self colored female that couldn't be more than 5-6
weeks old. So, I abandoned my grocery shopping, got some hardware cloth
(handy thing, a general store) and a new cage lid (and some cat food, since I
want my gerbils to stay around)and another bottle, and picked her up.
She's now having a snack in her fooddish. Frick is frantcally trying to
get to the other side of the cage to investigate
her. Hopefully, things will work out.
Any advice on split cages is, as always,
welcome. Pictures coming soon to the website.
