Awhile back there was a discussion going on about setting up some kind of
"Pony Express" delivery among the gerbil community members. While
researching guinea pigs, I came across this link to the Guinea Pig Breeders
Relay which could give us an example to follow if such a system were
actually created for gerbils. They transfer animals for shows, breeding and
as pets. Looks pretty neat to me and a much safer alternative to shipping.
