Welp, Firck and Miranda/Bronte (we haven't decided yet between those two.
Suggestions are welcome.) are living comfortably in thier bifrucated cages.
Frick seemed REAL interested in getting to the other side, climbing on the
gradint, and digging furiously at the wire. She's mostly calmed down now.
The little one seems largely oblivious, except for the occasional sniff at
the bars. They don't even seem annoyed when I take them out to switch them
every few hours. My questions are these:
1. The NGS Site metioned "taking advantage of thier natural inclination
to mark territory" in Julian's article. I am to assume then, that this
means I should not change the litter before I take the divider out, so
they're on "established ground"?
2. Any signs I should look for to see if they're compatable? I realize
it's too early to take the divider out, but I was wondering if there's any
signs I should look for when I do decide. Bear in mind that Frick is about
2x the size of little Miranda/Bronte (as the case may be), so any mistakes
will fall onto her little black head.
