I've had a pup do this recently. He fell between a cage toy and the corner
of the tank. He wasn't small enough to fall through to the bottom and had his
back feet dangling down while his front feet weren't long enough to pull
himself out. He was fine..but walked around with one eye shut for about an
hour. Maybe it's a sign of distress too...that's just a guess though.
