SV: males picking up pups

I never saw any of my males picking up pups and carring them. Yet many
members have males which display these maternal behaviors. Is this due
to inter uterine positions of te male?

My Rattis always picked tehm up and caried them away, Lillan hada full time job to 
carry them back to the nest....:-)
