Yesterday I noticed some unhappy gerbils in Erebus and Method's cage. Erebus
was chasing her 4.4 week old male pup around and there was a lot of
squeaking going on. I removed the male pup with his older brother (previous
litter). Those two seem to be doing fine on their own.
I left the 4.4 week old female in with Erebus and Method. I did not want her
to be by herself. Today, Method (the dad) was trying to breed with her. He
was actually mounting her.
Can she get pregnant at 4.4 weeks? I've heard of 7 week old females getting
pregnant by older males.
Should I just leave her in there or should I remove her from the tank?
Erebus looks as if she is going to deliver another litter soon, her sides
are bulging.
