Sorry to keep pestering you all with my questions. I noticed that the
little gerbil I mentioned earlier last night ("retardation in gerbils")
has a wet tail. I thought Wet Tail was a hamster illness. (?) She
doesn't seem to be having diarrhea (I held her in my hand over three
hours this evening coaxing her to eat a milk-soaked crust of
bread--unless I just don't know what gerbil diarrhea looks like).
Should I be concerned about the wet tail (wet on the tip)? She is
making "clicking" sounds as she breathes, so I'm guessing I need to pick
up an antibiotic tomorrow. I do hope she pulls through, for she's the
sweetest little thing (and the first of our gerbils that my wife has
held). My wife named her "Inch."
