Hai list-
I was out with my aunt over the weekend doing pet shop searching (one of
my all-time favorite hobbies (;), and I came across two gerbils I didn't
recognize. At a store called Petland Discounts (I don't know if any of you
have that store near by, but it's real common by me) I came across a gerbil
that was in a tank with a red fox and a black.. i think.. i don't remember if
the black was there or not, but they all appeared to be be around the same
age. It was an interesting color, almost a nutmeg type coloring with very
noticable patches of black ticking throughout it's body. Not white belly,
just brown all over. Anybody have any ideas? Is this an identified color
perhaps going through a molting stage? Anywho.. I saw another gerbil at a
local store later on that looked like a slightly darker agouti, but with a
very noticable yellow-ish brown belly that extended onto it's paws. It was
full grown. Thanks for your help!
