Hi everyone !
I know why they thump and I make difference between
excitment and "danger" thumping . I want to know what you people do when they
are thumping (danger).
Our Maggie could sometimes start thumping
without any reason - she is out playing with us , noone new came , no new smells
, no sudden moves ... but she just does it .
When our Gerbils are thumping we always come
to them giving them hand to smell it and talk to them .Sometimes they settle
down , but sometimes they run away and hide (sometimes they continue thumping
from inside the tube or house - but this is really rare)... So what do you think
is better - leave them alone or come to them ?
Enjoy !

P.S. Maggie already settled down twice when we
shortly pulled her up holding back of her neck. They also setlle down when we
bribe them with food ...
And at the end we noticed that they are reacting
much better when we even anoy them , then when they are left alone for a day or
so .
