Hi Everyone,
I was just reading my new pets.com magazine. It came with my recent order of
supplies from pet.com.
This is the Feb. 2000 issue and starting on page 25 is a great article about
a place called 'Best Friends Animal Sanctuary'. It is the largest animal
sanctuary in the USA. It is located in Kanab Utah.
The following is a part of the article.
The greatest work of Best Friends is just beginning, though. The group is
actively teaching others how to create sanctuaries and working to establish
a nationwide network of individuals who are ready to help animals in their
own communities. In coalition with other animal groups, unadoptable animals
in not unsolvable. The sanctuary also is sharing the strategies that make
the solution possible.
This looks like something good for all the people wanting to help in
rescuing.
The article gave a website address on page 28. The address is
www.bestfriends.org.
I briefly looked at the websites' homage, towards the bottom is a section
called, "Help animals in your community."
It may be worth taking a look at.
