I don't see why reason why you shouldn't use hay but it is probably not
that natural for them. They live on almost bare rock blown clean of soil
by the drying winds. Corncob is probably more like the grit that must
remain. In the wild they nest in cracks in the rock so I thin a tank
with corncob, clay plant pots and other hard items placed to give clacks
and hollows for them would be ideal.

We have bred them just like Mongolian Gerbils but I am interested to
hear of the results others have had.

We have given the same diet as our other gerbils.
