There is a thing called Paypal you should check out if you want your customers to pay by credit card. Both payer and seller must be registered for it to work. They use it alot on Ebay. You can get the money sent to your bank account or you can be mailed a check! Just a cool idea. I use it for my website making business and when I buy/sell stuff on ebay. Your customers get the gerbils faster. There is even a logo you can get to put on your page. Did I mention this is FREE?!? Well , it is! They except Visa and Mastercard.
