Michael asks - Can I put a pair of gerbils in a tank to sand bath and
then take them out and put a diff. pair in their with the same sand.

It might be safer to give each pair their own little bowl, box or
container to bath in. Putting different pairs into a tank might cause
them to fight because of the smells of the other gerbils being in there.
In other words Sometimes, they get confused and will fight because they
think the gerbil with them is the strange gerbil they smell.
In the past GML members used to let their gerbils play in boxes or
empty bathtubs but pairs would fight if other pairs were in there
before.
