Hallo list,

I habe a question which is not so urgent now, but will perhaps be in the
future and I want to be prepeared.

We have two gerbils, a neutered male, 3 and a half years old, and a female,
14 months old.

When the males former companion had died it was quite easy to introduce him
to the young female, which was 8 weeks old at this time.

Thoug I hope so much, that we will have our Ruediger still a long, long
time I have to face the fact, that he probably will pass away before Daisy.
As I have learned from the list, that it is quite difficult to intoduce a
grown up female to another gerbil I am worried, what I should do if time
has come.

I have learned, that she will definitely not get along with another female
and now I read, that she would probably kill a young gerbil, so I have to
forget my first thouht, to try to introduce her to a young (neutered,
because I don't want to breed) male.

Any ideas, that will avoid that she has to stay alone the rest of her life,
what I surely don't want, will be higly appreciated.
