Just about any green veggie is good for a gerbil....  Mine will eat anything
from: Grass clippings (precautions must be taken when collecting this item
however)- you can give them a pile to crawl through and play in
Broccoli...
LOVES lettuce (in small quantities, though - if a guinea pigs eats too much
lettus he can get "tummy toubles" - I don't know if gerbils have the same
problem)....
Peas, corn and carrots are also pretty tasty...usually 1-2 cernels a day is
good..
..so pretty much any "natual food" that they will eat.
Mine also enjoys a li'l olive and raisins...and dried fruit is a very tasty
treat, too....Olives have a lot of natural oils that help make her coat
shiny, but like sunflower seeds, should be given only as a treat.
